Soup, cucumbers, and kilometers—here’s how the aid stations work at the NUTS Ylläs Pallas 2026 race

Below is a summary of the key points regarding the beverage and energy supply for the year 2026.

Basic Services Offered at Service Centers

The following items are available at all service stations (except Kotamaja, which only has a water station):

  • Sliced Cucumber – Herkkumaa
  • Banana
  • Chocolate (Panda Ahaa Crisp)
  • Taffel Chips
  • In addition, each aid station has water and NOSHT Lemon sports drink available.

Sports drinks are prepared at each aid station according to the manufacturer’s serving instructions. If you’re tired of chocolate, we also offer Brunberg marmalade—which is suitable for people with chocolate allergies—as well as Brunberg lactose-free milk chocolate.

Disposable cups are not provided at aid stations. Your own mug and spoon are essential—the soup goes down best when you have the right utensils.

Extended Maintenance

In addition to the basic selection, service stations along longer routes offer hot meals and refreshments:

  • Pallas (160 km “spare bag” station—also serves as the 66 km finish line): The aid station also offers mixed fruit juice, lentil soup (vegetarian, with meat), or chicken soup. Coca-Cola and Jaffa.
  • At Ketomella, there’s Coca-Cola and Jaffa.
  • Peurakaltio (100 km spare bag station): Mixed fruit juice, instant oatmeal, noodles, meat broth, vegetable broth, and vegetable pies (Veg, M, L), as well as a gluten-free option.

Clementines are also available at Ketomella, Pallas, Kellokas, and the 15 km aid stations in Kesängi and Karila.

Goal Assists

  • Äkäslompolo: In Äkäslompolo, lentil soup and chicken soup are on the menu.
