Soup, pickles and kilometres – how aid stations work at NUTS Ylläs Pallas 2025
Running through the fells requires proper fuelling – and you’ll find it at our aid stations along the route. Below you’ll find an overview of the drinks and nutrition service for the 2025 race.
Basic aid station supplies
All aid stations (except Kotamaja, which is water-only) offer the following:
- Bananas
- Panda Ahaa Crisp chocolate
- Brunberg marmalade
- Herkkumaa pickles
- Plain salted crisps
- Water
- NOSHT sports drink
Please note that there are no disposable cups at aid stations. A personal cup and spoon are mandatory gear – soup is best enjoyed when your tools are in order.
Extended service points
Runners on the longer distances will be treated to additional warm food and drinks at selected aid stations:
- Pallas (160 km spare bag station, also the finish for 66 km): meat soup, vegan lentil soup, NOSHT sports drink, and non-alcoholic beer
- Peurakaltio (100 km spare bag station): extended food and drink service (including warm meals and refreshments)
Finish line refreshments
- Äkäslompolo: meat soup, lentil soup, and either non-alcoholic beer or Powerade
- Pallas (66 km finish): same soup offering as in Äkäslompolo, with the addition of Coca-Cola and Jaffa
