Oulanka parking relocated to Käylä – free shuttle on Friday 4–8 PM

This spring, it’s not just cowbells ringing at Oulanka – construction work is ongoing at the research station, and there will be no parking available near the Oulanka start area on Friday.

🏁 This primarily affects runners in the 55 km distance, whose start is located near the Oulanka Visitor Centre. Parking has always been limited there, and now the construction site takes up the remaining space.

🚗 Where to park instead?

Parking has been arranged at Korpihovi in Käylä, where you can catch a free shuttle bus to the start area between 4 PM and 8 PM on Friday.

🚌 The shuttles run frequently, no reservation needed. Return transport back to Käylä will be available from the finish area throughout the evening.

👉 We strongly recommend runners use the official start buses from Ruka whenever possible – they’re the easiest and most reliable way to reach the starting point without parking hassle or extra logistics.

The Käylä shuttle is available to both runners and supporters who do not have a seat on the Ruka departure buses.
